The objects ('Objects') for which the charity is to be established are: (i) to promote the advancement of health and the saving of lives by funding research into the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure of canavan disease and spastic paraplegia type 7; and (ii) to relieve and treat and promote the relief and treatment of people with canavan disease and spastic paraplegia type 7 and other degenerative conditions and to provide support for such persons, their families and carers to improve their quality of life. Nothing in the articles will authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes, which are not charitable in accordance with section 3 of the Charities Act 2009 For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the articles of association of the charity is the law of Northern Ireland.
