Our engagement will be through activities and programmes that encourage positive emotional, physical and spiritual health. b) to promote the ben¢fit of people coming together who may be living in isolation and may come from socially and economically disadvantaged areas of Dungannon by developing friendships, ski115 and interests in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. ) the advancement of any other exclusively charitable purpose as the trust¢e5 may decide in accordance with the law of charity in Northern Ireland. Mensreach Dungannon Ltd Trustees, Report Public benefil Throughout the period the Trustees have implemented several initiatives to achieve their obje¢tives I Walking in the Park An average of 25 men (out of 45 registered) participated in weekly walks. Two routes were offered.. a shorter lake circuit and a longer park perimeter walk. Post-lvalk refreshments were provided at the Dungannon Council Fishernian's Lodge, facilitating infornial conversation and pastoral care. 2 Walking Football & Pilates This program averaged 16 participants ( from a retsi5tered tsroup of 201. Sessions included warni-up exercises, a 20 -30 minute walking football match (divided into four quarters) and a 40-minute Pilates class. Facilities were provided by Dungannon Swifts. with refreshments served in ilieir lounge. ) Life Explored & GroW(h Groups Life Explored and Growth Groups were run concurrently, accommodatinu a total of 18 participants. These groups provided a supportive environment for exploring life's question5 and receiving pastordl care. 4 Open House & Board Game Evenings An Open House, held two afternoons per week at 43 Scotch Street aver4Eed 2 - J attendees per week. These Sessions provided oppothinites for support and referral to appropriate services. Additionally, a Monday night board game evening attracted an average of 8 men 5 Events The Trustees h05ted a Christmas dinner for over 40 men and organized eight trips to various historical and sporting events throughout the province. The use of financial derivatives is governed by the charity'5 policies approved by the board of trustees, which provide written principles on the use of financial derivatives to manage these risks. The charity does not use derivative financial instruments for speeulative purposes. ClIfloW risk The charity's activities expose it primarily to the financial risks of changes in foreign currency exchange rates and interest rates. The charity uses foreign exchange fonvard contracts and interest rate swap contracts to hedge these exposure5. Interest bearing assets and liabilities are held at fixed rate to ensure certainty of cash flows. Credit risk The ¢liarity's principal financial asset5 ar¢ bank balances and cash, trade and other receivables, and investments. The charity's credit risk is primarily attributable to its trade receivables. The amounts presented in the balance sheet are net of allowances for doubtful receivables. An allowance for impairnient is made where there is an identified loss event which, based on previous experience, is evidence of a reduction in the recoverability of the cash flows. The credit risk on liquid fuiids and derivative financial instruments is limited because the counterparties are banks with high credit-ratings assigned by international Credit-rating agen¢i¢s. The charity has no significant concentralion of credit risk, with exposure spread over a large number of couiiterparties and customers. Liquidity risk In order to maintain liquidity to ensure that sufficient ndS are available for ongoing operations and future developments, the charity uses a Mixre of long-tem) and short-terni debt finance. Statement of complianee The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Ststement of Recommended Practice (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)) (issued in October 2019) - (Charities SORP IFRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006. Basis of preparation Mensreacli Dungannon Ltd meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at liistorical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy notes. Going concern The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continLie as a going concern nor any significant areas of uncertainty that affect the carrying value of assets held by the charity. Income and endowments All income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probabl¢ that the income will be received and the amount of the income receivable can be measured reliably. In the event thal a donation is subject to conditions that require a level of performance by the charity before the charity is entitled to the funds, the income is deferred and not recognised until either those conditions are fully met, or the fulfilment of those condition5 is wholly within the control of the charity and it is probable that these Conditions will be fulfilled in the reporting period. Expenditure All expenditure is reco(Fnised once there is a legal or constructive oblitsation to that expenditure. it is probable settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to the applicable expenditure heading that aggregate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to parti¢ular headings they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the use of resources. with central staff costs allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation cliarges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
