Charity Purpose & Associated Activities

This Charity was formed with the purpose of raising funds for extra resources to be used for activities and equipment that would benefit St Mary's PS Brookeborough, along with the pupils’ learning, wellbeing.

We wish to build strong relationships between families, staff and the wider community by organising events and activities that encourage community involvement and school spirit.

Public Benefit Statement

The Friends of St Marys main activities include organising fundraising events and social activities to support the school and enhance the experience of pupils. These activities may include raffles, coffee mornings, sponsored events, seasonal celebrations etc.

The group would also encourage parent and community involvement, support communication between home and school, provide volunteers for school activities where appropriate, and help raise funds for resources, equipment and projects that benefit pupils and the wider school community.

The PTFA had a positive financial year, with a total of £4,072.15 raised through the “Cycle for St Mary’s” fundraising event, along with additional donations and grants received from FODC (270.00) and the Asda Cashpot initiative (£182.73)
