REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES fr the Year Ended 31 DECEMBER 2024
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
We aim to provide support to churches and Christian organisations to advance the Christian faith in their communities.
Through our partnership with Every Home for Christ we are dedicated to sharing the transformative love and message of Jesus Christ across the island of Ireland.
Significant activities
During the last 12 months, we have distributed over 300,000 printed resources across Ireland, sharing the message of hope in Jesus with homes, churches, and communities. Our team has spoken at numerous churches and events, encouraging believers and inspiring others to take part in reaching every home. We have also created new gospel resources to support local outreach and established regular team prayer times, strengthening our unity and dependence on God as we continue this mission together
Public benefit
The trustees has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the actives entered into during the year have helped to achieve the charity's objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit.
We serve local communities and Christian organisations by equipping and mobilizing members to participate in sharing the Christian faith. We create and provide easy to use resources, as well as support and bespoke training.
We believe there to be no harm arising from the purposes of our charity.
Volunteers
The charity is blessed to have around six regular volunteers who faithfully give their time and energy to support our work. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and generosity.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The main source of income during the year was donations, amounting to £148,045. Support from Every Home for Christ was the largest source of income and is expected to continue in coming years.
Expenses amounted to £118,822 and was as expected by the trustees. The trustees avoid entering into substantial long term financial commitments and only undertake aGtivities as funds allow.
The trustees were pleased with the results of the year, there was a surplus for the year of £34,968 and reserves at the year end of£14,418.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is controlled by its governing document, a deed of trust and constitutes an unincorporated charity.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
New trustees are appointed by the trustees, who keep the composition of the trustee body under review to _ensure that it includes sufficient people with the time and expertise needed to manage the charity effectively.
Organisational structure
The trustees provide overall governance, while LJ oversees the day-to-day management and operations of the charity.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024, which are set out on pages four to nine.
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsiblity to:
examine the accounts under Section 65 of the Charities Act
- follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under Section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of the independent examiner's report
I have examined your charity accounts as required under Section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under Section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:

That accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 63 of the Charities Act 2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records 3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act

That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (1) to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.

HOPE FOR EVERY HOME IRELAND NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS for the Year Ended 31 DECEMBER 2024 ACCOUNTING POLICIES Basis of preparing the financial statements The financial statements of the charity. which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Acwunting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. The financial ststements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Income All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the flds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably. Expenditure Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligatioTh committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the tegOry. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis wnsistent with the use of resources. Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure. Tangible f¢d assets Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. oirice Equipment 150/0 reducing balance Stock% Stocks valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. Taxation The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities. Fund accounting Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restriction5 arise when specified by the donor or when fimds are raised for particular restricted purposes. Further explanation of the nature and pUoSe of each fid is included in the notes to the financial statements. Hire purchase and leasing commitments Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities on a straight line basis over the period of the lease. Pellsion costs and other post-r¢tirement benefits The charity operates a defined contribution pension scheme.
