**Purposes:** 2.2 To support the development of the Cultural and Heritage interests of the area. This will be supported through the strengthening of the communities in the area by promoting health & wellbeing, age welfare, tackling poverty, inequalities, education, recreation, volunteerism, environmental awareness, cleaner streets, & play areas and safer communities. This would all be challenged and achieved without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by engaging with the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations.   2.3 to develop and create the establishment of a Community Base and Centre (hereinafter called "the Base") and to maintain and manage with the co-operate with any local statutory authority for activities that are promoted by the association and its associated bodies in furtherance of the above objects.
