The group performs plays for the local community. donating its ticket sales to charities which support its purposes. The organisation is established to advance the arts. education. health. and wellbeing ot the people of the Gleneiiyvalleyand surroundingareas. Structure. Achievements and Pertomiances During the year 2024-2025 the comrnittee worked on promoting the Glenelly Players Drama Group in the local communityand recwiting new members.Time was speni reading plays and casting in preparation for perfonnances in March 2026. Financial Revlew The receipts and payrnents accounts show total receipts of £15 and payments of £50. This results in a deficit of £35.00 .The cash reserves of £7119.00 from the prewous financial yearending 30th Septembertaking into account the ￿CeIpt of £15.Iy) and payment of £50.00 leaves a bank cash balance of £7084.00. This development of knowledge is crucial in a small rural communityto sustain the abilityofthe groupto continue deliveringdrama productions and otherforms of art and wrwting for the benefft of the community. The benefit of this purpose is further demonstrated by the number of people ot different ages and background who re¢ognise the group as an outietfor learning more about creative expression. Purpose 2: To promote the art of drama and other art forms for the benefit of all the people of the Glenellyvalley and surrounding areas. The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is the coming together of the community to produce and perform a play

which brings an opportunityfoi social interaction and the opportuniryto artend a drama performance in the local area. It encourages new participants to the group and engages the community. The performances are supported bythe local community anij sell out on the live consecutive nights when a performance runs. The group face regular enquiries aboutwhen the next performance will be taking place. Purpose 3: The aovancement of healthlsaving iÉves forthe benefit of the people in the Glenelly Valley and surrounding a￿as. The direct benefttwhich flows from this is the group's abilityto donate the proceeds of its pertormance ticket sales to several charities which support physical and mental health and wellbeing. The other benefit which flows directly from the group's purpose is the allewation of social isolation and provision of an outLet for people to meet as part ot the group or to attend drama performances in the locaLcommunity hall. Tf)is is particularly important in a rural area. The group has onated its ticket sales to date to several charities which supporr e(Jucarion. health. and wellbeing.
