## Activities

**Purposes:** The objects of ELP are:  (a) to provide a better knowledge of the Portuguese language, culture and traditions to anyone who is interested in learning more about Portuguese speaking countries culture; (b) to advance education through a range of activities which seek to promote the Portuguese language, history, geography, music, traditions, customs and celebrations of Portuguese speaking countries.  (c) to support integration across Northern Ireland, by promoting, participating in and organizing cultural and social activities and by facilitating links with local youth organizations.  (d) to promote interaction between children by promoting both educational and sports activities to provide contact between children and young people of Portuguese-Speaking Countries, as well as local children and youth.
