Chairperson’s Annual Report 2025/2026
Introduction & School Environment Good evening everyone. I would like to welcome you all to the 2025/2026 PTFA Annual General Meeting. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to be here.
This past year was defined by our resilience. The storm damage to the assembly hall roof was a significant blow, forcing the hall's closure for most of the year. I want to extend a massive "fair play" to Cherith and the entire staff; working around that closure couldn't have been easy, and we are thrilled to finally see it reopened this term. It looks fantastic and has been well worth the wait.
Additionally, we’ve seen great success with the new parking arrangements. The car park is noticeably less stressful, and traffic on the main road has slowed significantly, vastly improving safety for the children.
Events & Fundraising Highlights
● Seasonal Discos: Both the Halloween and Valentine’s discos were a hit, enjoyed by pupils and teachers alike.
● The Pantomime: Our ticketing system continues to work seamlessly, allowing us to keep costs low for families while putting on a performance that was a joy to watch.
● Summer Fair: Despite the weather’s best efforts and Stuart’s absence while on a luxury cruise, the fair was a great success. Moving it to a Wednesday night proved to be an excellent move that we will likely continue.
● School Signage: The new signage designed by Mr. Martin and installed by GMG Logos looks incredibly impressive and has truly given the school a lift.
Financial Overview We have remained in a strong position, with the Pantomime and Fair bringing in approximately £5,300 each . While parent subscriptions were slightly down this year (approx. £800 ), our sponsorship and grant efforts remained high.
We are ending the year with £13,000 in available cash, with an additional £5,500 ring-fenced specifically for the launch of our exciting new Digital Hub .
