2024.

The Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster came Into being on 17th March 195188 a te8timony
to the historic faith of Presbyterian8 that emphaslsed the Inspiration and authority of
Scripture against the liberaL rationalist infidelity that had made serfous Inroads Into
Pre8byteri8nism In Ireland as well 88 the other main Protestant denomlnatlons.
The Free Presbyterian Church of Ul8ter Is a worldwlde Protsstant Reformed denomination
con8i8ting of congregations which accept and uphold the Artlcles of Faith. It Is Protestsnt
in its ba818, Presbyterlan in its govemmenL Reformed In Its doctrfne, Evangelistic In its
ministry, Fundamentsiist In Its stsnd and defence of the Hi8torfc Chrlstlan Falth. and

The Lord's Supper. The Lord's Supper has been appointed by our Lord for Remembrance of
HIM in His work as Saviour. Its purpose to the child of God is for strengthening. 8nd the
putting of a visible difference between the redeemed and the unregenerats. This Sacrament

These Articles of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechi8m8, and the
We8tmin8ter Stsndards form the Subordinate stsndard8 of the Free Presbyterian Church of
Ulster.
Purpose
The Objectiv8 of the Church is to promote the advancement of rellgion in accordance with
the Holy Scriptures, the subordlnate stsndard8 of the Articles of Faith, the Westmin8ter
Standards, and the Book of Church Order.

attendance at publicwor8hip a8weU as regular evaluation of actMtie8. informal8nd 8d-hoc
feedback from member8, thelr families. and the general public. The purp08e does not lead
to harm.
The charlty'8 beneficlarie8 are the Chrlstlan Church and the general public within 8ociety in
Northern Ireland and wherever acr088 the world the Free Pres￿erIan Church of Ulster h88
an opportunity to mini8ter. The only private benefits flowing from this purpose are to th08e
members who would receive re88on8ble remuneration paid In respect of employment by
the Church: those member8 who may enter into contracts with the Church and recelve
re880nable payment for goods and setvices supplled; where a member may benefit as a
Student at our Bible Colleges: or where someone from a member's family may banefit as a
pupil at a Christian school. These private beneffts are Inclderrtal and neces88ry to ensure

Structur•. lknrnanc• and Manapmont
Th8 Truste88 meet on a regular basis to dSscus8 the work of the church, and to m8ke
declslon8 conceming the actmtles wlthln the church. Matters are reported to Church
Members at the Annual General Meetlng when the Financial Report 18 given and the
Accounts are presented.
The Church Commlttee meets regularly to tske delegated responsibility on behalf of the
members of the Kirk Session to assist it in managing the Church's flnances and a&8ets and
in making decisions regarding the dayto dayfinancial and material aff8ir8 of the Church.
Flnanclal Revlew
The m8in 80urce of Income Is from weekly offerings. and voluntsry glfts and don8tlons,
8upplem8nted by the use of Gift Aid and the Glft Ald Small Donations Scheme. Combined
Income from unrestricted and restricted donatlons during the period w88 £113.698 (2023:
£120.487). total expenditure was £162.277 (2023: £148,058), leaving a deficit of £48,578.
(2023: deficit £27,571). Cash and cash equivalents held at the year-end were £50.479,
(2023: £21,760).

Volunteer Help
The Trustees. who are the Kirk Session. acknowledge that much is glven In klnd by the
membership and friends of Grace Free Presbyterian Church through voluntsering. support of
the pastoral efft?rL participation in children's work. congregational activities and to include the
general upkeep of the property and its ground. Th8 Kifk Session wishes to record their
appreciation to all who help in arywaywith the advancement of the work of God.
