The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report prepared in accordance with the Charities Act
(Northern Irelandl 2008. The charify considers that under applicable lawthey are entitled to adopt

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE, AND MANAGEMENT
The Open Doors Club is an unincorporated charity, which was registered wlth the Charity Commission
of Northern Ireland on 22 December 2022, The charity number is 109272.
The charity is governed by its constitution andwater is managed by the Trustees as noted above. The
charit¢s principal address is: Granaghan Resource Centre, 15C Main Street, Swatragh, Maghera, BT46
5QB.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form that
complies with the req uirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland} 2008, the organisation has
implemented its recommendations that were relevant in these financial statements.
MISSION, OBJECTIVES, AND STRATEGY
Objectives
We aim to offer an inclusive environment in which parents/carers of children, young people and
vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or complex needs are encouraged and supported to
overcorne barriers to access support both for themselves a nd their families/carers in an inclusive and
empowering manner by encouraging self-care, mutual support and providing activities ¥oth
recreationa l and educational for both parents/ca rers, children, young people, and vulnerable adults,
Achievements and Performance
The Charity has very successfully organised and offered a wide range of activities to its members
ranging from m Ltsical movement including dance a nd sing along, a rt and craft classes, fitness classes
incorporating games, sporting activities and dance. These classes have brought together members of
the wider community with a sense of inclusion and developing self-esteem and confidence,

Flnancial Revlew
Total receipts for the year ended 31 March 2024 are £24,113 {2023 £26,030) . Payments in the same
period are £12,61712023 £10,406), The charity had a bank and cash balance of £27,120 IZ023
£15,624).
Reserve5 Policy
The reserves are held for the benefit of Open Doors Club. The policy is reviewed on an annual basis
by the Trustees,
Results and Dividends
At the end of the year, the charity has assets of £27,12012023 £15,624) and liabilities of £O,00 The
net assets of the charity have increased by £11,496.12023 £15,624}.
The cha rity engages proactively with legislat'ion, standards, and codes that are developed Fo r the
sector.

Public Benefit
The members of Open Doors are vulnerable and often disadvantaged people suffering from a range
of disabilities a nd coping with these in a rura1 area of M id Ulster.
The group orga nises a range of activities and the d irect benefits are that people feel that they are not
alone, feel less isolated, build friendships, use the talents that they have a nd avail of such services and
employment opportu nities a5 exist given their disability.
The benefits can be demonstrated by the numbers attending specific activities by the feedback that
the group get5 when we hold review sessions and by thp comments that we get from memberfs
families on how we have helped build clients self-esteem, self-confidence, and improved wellbeing.
We also take feedback from the Tutors and adapt our programme accordingly.
There is no harm arising from the activities organised by the Open Doors Club or from its objectives.
The Charity beneficiaries are individuals from 13 to 60 plus f'rom the Swatragh area who suffer from a
range of specific ed ucationa I health a nd social issues related to their speclal needs. Member's families
also benefit from our activities.
There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes. The on Iv people who gain financially are the
Tutors whose fees we pav.

TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustee's report and the financial statements in
accordance with Ge nera Ily Accepted Accounting Practice in the U K & Irela nd i ncl uding the accou nting
standards issued by the Accountin8 Standards Board and published by Chartered Accountants Ireland.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial
statements for each financia l year which give a true a nd fair view of the state of affalrs of the cha rity
and of the incoming resource5 and application of resources of the cha rity for that period.
In prepaiinE these f inancia I statements, the trustees are req uired to.,
select suita ble accounting policies a nd then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles in the Charitie5 SORP 2015 IFRS 1021;
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
state whether applicable accounting standa rds have been followed, subject to any material
depa rtures disclosed and explained in the f inancial statements;
5. prepare the flnancial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responslble for keeping proper accounting record5 that disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial posltion of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial
statements comply with the Charlties Act {Northern Ireland) 2CH)8, the Charities (Accounts and
Reports) Regulations INorthern Ireland} 2015, and the provisions of the trust deed.
They are a Iso responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for tal<ing reasonable
steps for the prevention a nd detection of fraud and other irregularitie5.
