Friends of St.Malachy's
Annual Monitoring Report
1st April 2023 - 31st March 2024
The charities progress has been greatly limited within this financial peiiod due to
difficulties in opening a bank account. Despite all request from the bank being met,
including trustees Identification verified, a letter from an accountant and a letter from
Charity Commission the process has been drawn out and is still ongoing.
This has meant the charity has been unable to apply for grants. Despite this the charity
has generated funds through community activities and donations. Sports day donations
totalled £450, a successful Christmas disco for the children raised £910 and other
fundraising amounted to £375. Therefore a total of £1735 has been raised in this
financial period.
Further to this £1000 was awarded to Friends of St.Malachy's for outdoor play
equipment and furniture after a cornpetitive bid to Clanmil Housing Association
Community Fund. The funders agreed to pay this directly into the school account.
Friend's of St.MalaGhy's trustees are positive that the success of our first year can be
built upon and that the new financial year will see more income generated through
funding for the benefit of local children.
