## **Monkstown Community Association Trustees Report 2023-2024** 

The Monkstown Community Association is proud to highlight our ongoing initiatives and successes over the past year. Our "Successful Over 50s" programme continues to thrive, with regular meetings held every two weeks, fostering community engagement and support among our members. 

Our Jubilee Kids Club, catering to children in Primary 1 to Primary 6, has been a vibrant space for young minds to grow and learn through various activities. 

In Newtownabbey, we have established a supportive network with over 240 clients receiving daily check-in calls. For those in need, we assist with prescription collections and basic food shopping, ensuring that everyone has access to essential services. 

We are committed to honouring our community’s heritage and sacrifice. This year, we held our annual celebration of culture alongside a poignant remembrance event for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Additionally, our annual Holocaust Memorial event was a significant occasion, and we continue to expand our permanent memorial space to commemorate this important history. 

Our festive Christmas event remains a highlight, attracting over 600 participants and bringing together more than 120 older individuals for a joyous dinner. These gatherings reflect our dedication to building a strong, inclusive community where everyone feels valued and connected.
