**Purposes:** To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood known as Monkstown (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) without distinction on gender, race, disability, age, political, religious, or other opinion. The committee shall associate with the relevant statutory and voluntary organisations and the residents of the area of benefit in a common effort to advance the quality of life through self-help in community development, education, employment, welfare, and the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation.
