It5 members devote themselves to the teathings of Scripture, to fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism. They commit, with the help of God, to witness to the savin8 and sustainin8 power of the Lord Jesus Chrlst and to vrfork for the extension of His Kingdom. The principal charitable object of the thurch is the advancement of the Christian faith accordlng to the teachings of Scripture, the Doctrinal Statement and Baptist prfnclples. The activities of the Church include: regular services for public worshlp. prayer. bible study and teaching for varfous age groups provldlng pastoral care to the congregation through visttation and prayer organizln8 meetings that promote our charitable purpose participating in the Ilfe of the local communlty supporting other chrf1an or8anisatlons and charltles through volunteerln8, financlal 8lfts and prayer. ACHIEVEMEKf AND PERFORMANCE The church meets the public benefft requlrement by provldlng benefft to its members and the 8eneral public by making known the Christian gospel of the Lord Jesus Chrlst through the advancement of the Chrlstian faith. Below is a summary of the church activities throuthout the year: regular Sunday mornlng and evenln8 servlce and a weekly prayer meeting on Tuesday nlght to teach the bible and proclaim the gospel. Some of these servlces are streamed on Facebook and reath a wider audience In the communlty. Sunday School and Bible Class on Sunday mornings, durin8 school 'term time,. A monthly meeting in a local Sheltered Housin8 Complex A summer Hollday Blble aub which runs for a week and ends wlth a Famlly fun night open to the communlty. Dlstrlbution of approximately 71X) Gospel Calendars to the homes In the viclnlty of the church. Work In local schools throu8h 5peaklns in Ass•mblles and also the 'Amazing Journey, event which is a department of Baptist Youth. Supporting other groups that we have an interest in and this year we had visits from missionarles who work in places such as Pakistan, Romania, Europe, United Kingdom and Ireland.
FINANCIAL OVERVIEW The church recorded a net deficit for the year of £3674, however this indudes expenditure of £1362 for signage which is not a recurring expenditure. Closing unrestricted reserves at 5 April 2024 were £13.399 Closing restricted reserves at 5 April 2024 were £656 representlng funds held for youth work.
