Attendees: Lynda, Heather, Marie, Helen, Claire, Nichola

  1. Finance

Heather updated the team with accounts annual summary

At the start of the financial year 1/6/24 we had £9.1k in the bank, income during the year of £4.4k and expenditure of £8.6k leaving us with just under £5k at the end of the year.

Bank Balance 1/6/24 £9115.22 Income £4414.02 Expenditure £8593.63 Bank Balance 1/6/25 £4975.61

A breakdown showed Pilates/W&W cost around £2000 and Retreat days cost around £1500

We had agreed not to apply for further funding, and would keep on classes and other activities in order to use up funds.

  1. Activities through the year

  2. Pilates ran on a Monday evening from September to November, but due to dwindling numbers decided to discontinue in January

  3. Women and Weights continues to be well attended so ran throughout the year

  4. We ran 2 retreat days in Lisburn Civic Centre but as previously documented, decided to no longer use this facility

  5. We ran one workshop in Lisburn City Elim Church in February

3. Charity/Fundraising

In July we held a fundraising class for Friends of the Cancer Centre, in memory of our good friend and committee member, Florence Smith. We provided refreshments for the event, the attendees made donations and we were able to send £800 to the charity

We also supported a group of young Mums, by hiring a room in Lough Road Yoga Studio, allowing the group to meet for 8 weeks

4. Ongoing Activity

We agreed to continue with Women and Weights sessions and to hold a series of Workshops while funds permit. Once funds are depleted, we are likely to close Strive
