The purpose of the organlsatlon Is: To offer a safe and secure place for children and their families To offer opportunities for children to socialise in large groups To address isolation and loneliness, experienced by parents/carers, especially in rural areas or those new to an area To share Information and experlences The following trustees have served as charity trustees during the year: Mrs Bronagh Fleming Mrs Laura Morgan Mrs Colleen Quinn (resigned 02.10.24) Mrs Aveen Owens (appointed 02.10.24) We confirm as trustees we have had regard to the Commission's Public benefit requirement statutory guidance. Main achievements In the year ended 30 June 2024 We received our first ever grant from the National Lottery Community Fund of £8,400 on 21" October 2022. The money from the grant was very well received, and was used to buy appropriate size tables and chairs for the children, high chairs, safety gates at exit points, external speakers (E.g. First Aid), group outings, kitchen and office equipment, storage facilities and new toys. £4,323 of the grant income was spent in the year ended 30 June 2023. The remaining £4,077 was spent in the current year. In October 2023 we took the children to Tiddly Town in Newry, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We celebrated various events during the year including fancy dress at Halloween, a Santa Vislt in December 2023, and an Easter Egg hunt in April 2024. We ended the year off In June 2024 with our annual Sports Day which was a great success.
Financial revlew for the year ended 30 June 2024. Durlng the year, we had total Income of £2,024.42 whlch consisted of income from weekly sessions and reglstration fees. We had total expendlture of £5,281.42. However £4,077.12 of thls expenditure was In relatfon to the grant we received In October 2022. We had an overall net deflclt of £3,257, as a result of the grant expendlture. Thls was purely a timlng difference, as the grant was recelved In the prlor year. At the 30, June 2024, we had a bank balance of £2,572.83. We are very pleased at the very successful year the charity had, and we look forward to its continued success.
