Annual Monitoring Report

During this period of time, Friends of the fin have had slow year of fund raising activities. St Mary’s Primary School, that Friends of the Fin supports, has been going through a period of change within the school structure with no stable principle and structure day to day being stretched. Therefore there has been little financial activity this financial year.
Although financial gain has been minimal, the trustees and PTA have continued to support the school by other means. We have worked closely with the school to aid them in events such as hosting tea and coffee mornings to help pupils celebrate big days such as Confirmation, First communion and Graduation. As well as helping the school with their own fund raising activities such as seeking out donations for Christmas raffle prizes, acquiring Smarties tubes for Halloween fundraiser. We also showed our support by helping to man the book fair when it arrived at the school.
Friends of the Fin will continue our efforts to work closely with the school in this period of transition with the hope the second half of the new financial year will bring fresh ideas.

*Principle gift, a leaving gift of a bottle of whiskey was purchased to acknowledge the principle teacher leaving for a new post.
Supplies, money (£20+£80) was withdrawn to buy supplies for the new school year, it was then decided against and is now used as petty cash and a float for events such as the school Christmas disco.
