Annual Monitoring Report

Within this period, Friends of the Fin PTA have reduced fundraising
activities. The school has been very active in its own fundraising
campaign and the PTA are conscious of the pressure on the same
families within the community to support the school's own campaign
along with other community causes such as the local football club who
have stepped up fundraising for pitch improvements this year. Therefore,
there has been little financial gain in this period.
Whilst the charities financial progress has been greatly limited within this
financial period due to other community efforts, the groups trustees have
been very active in supporting the school's own fundraising campaign.
The trustees have assisting with organising and running events including
Christmas raffle, bring and buy sale, smarties challenge and break the
rules day which raised approximately £2,500 for the school. The
trustees of have also carried out projects to improve the sensory garden,
volunteering at school events and supporting the book fair in an effort to
advance education and development of children attending St. Mary's,
Aughlishnafin.
Friends of the Fin are positive that the community relations and
experience gained in this year assisting the school can be built upon and
that the new financial year will see more income generated through
funding for the benefit of local children.
