The triist is regvislcred ￿ lili Northern Ireland Charities Commission. There is a Board of
Trustecs. comprising five persons - four resident in Northern Ireland and one in England. To
date there have been four meetings a year. mainlj. to plan and guide the initial setting up and
preparatory work of the Trust. The-frust is governed by a Trust Deed, drawn up iii
Noveinber ?0? l and submitted to the Northern Ireland Charities Coiiimission iinmediately
thereafter. The Commission approved the Trust Deed and granted charithble regislralioii in
September 20?2.

Public Benefit Requirement
SiiiLe it is not N'et ful l) operational. McAllister Conservation Trust has not been able to put
into effect any aspects of its charitable aims and objectives in the period under review. Once
operalional, the Trust will adhere fully to all available guidance issued by the Charity
co.mmission for Northern Ireland. In ihe period under review no material or other benefits.
accrued to any trustee. and no privale benefit floived from the ivork of the Trust.
Main Activities and achievements
In ilie period under revieii. Irustees continued to liaise with the Woodland Trust iii relation to
the planting and welfare of the woodland at Brone. Garvagh. This comprises some 23 acres
and 12.000 trees approx. Three of the trustees have been activel!. iniiolved with securing of
gates and lane￿ aj's. as li el l as tid)'In￿cIearlnO seK'eral of tlie fields prior to planting. They
have also tidied and cleaned 0￿ergro11n and unkempt hedges around two fields that have been
relained for traditional farminJo grazing purposes and arraiiged for the feiiciiig and proper
demarcation of various parts of the overall site and clearing up the McAllister family-home
site. This work has been undertaken on a voluntar). basis. and trustees do not seek/expect
remuneration. Hoii'ever. some of ihem liai'e incurred costs iniiolN'ed ￿'"ith the i¥'ork. iiicludiiig
paymeni for diouers. fencing. insurance and some legal fees arisino from settlemeiit of the
wi I l. It is anticipated thal. once funds are available lo the Trust. al I sucli iiecessaTh' and
reasoiiable expenses M'ill be reimbursed.
Public Benefit arisin% from actii'ities

benefit arising from ihe Trust's aciii'ities.

Financial Position
The trustees have opened a bank account ith Ulster Bank Ltd., Belfasl, this account
c()ntaining a nominal sum of £100 to date. There have been no payments into or out of the
account.
