**Purposes:** THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ARE:  To advance education and training for the benefit of the general public in South Armagh and its environs of Northern Ireland and the border counties (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") and in particular:  (1)	Promote public awareness, knowledge and understanding of the cultural heritage of Ireland, and to carry out research into, and promote public awareness of, the social and economic structures of Irish society  (2)	Advance education by carrying out or assisting in the research into the fields of arts, education, culture, folklore, genealogy and training in the area of benefit and to publish the useful results thereof;  (3)	Educate, advise, train, encourage, and provide practical assistance in furtherance of the primary purpose to charitable bodies in an effort to assist them to secure adequate and appropriate resources for arts and cultural projects, education, training and research.
