## **Trustees** 

The following people served as Trustees of the Charity during the period ending 31 March 2024: 

- Ms Lynda Donaldson (Chair)

- Mr Martin McDonald (Deputy Scheme Co-Ordinator) 

- Ms Clare Doyle (Secretary) 

- Mr Brian Allen (Treasurer) 

All Trustees have continued their tenure into the 2024/25 financial year. 

## **Trustee Remuneration** 

All Trustees act in a pure voluntary role. No Trustee receives any remuneration from the scheme. 

## **Employees** 

The charity is operated solely by volunteers and has no employees. 

## **Charitable Activities** 

The objectives and aims of the organisation as laid out in its constitution are: 

- To set up and operate a volunteer-led community first responder scheme 

- To provide life-saving care to people with any of a range of medical emergencies, as laid down from time to time by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, in our community, pending the arrival of the ambulance service 

- To recruit, co-ordinate and equip local volunteers who will be trained and alerted by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to assess and provide an appropriate intervention to those with appropriate medical emergencies, in their localities 

- To Provide, as appropriate, resuscitation including the use of a defibrillator, care and support pending the arrival of an emergency ambulance, which will be dispatched simultaneously with the first responders 

During the reporting period the scheme achieved its charitable objectives by: 

- Securing sustainable funding to enable the purchase of medical equipment, uniforms and personal protective equipment 

- Recruiting, background screening and training 24 volunteers as Community First Responders

- Attending 972 emergency calls to provide potentially life saving medical intervention while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance 

## **Accounts** 

As detailed on page 4, during the period the scheme had charitable income of £62,838 with expenditure of  £43,886. The charity consequently had £18,952 in unrestricted cash balances.
