Charity’s purpose
The Club/Charity is established to promote community participation in Association Football, by the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure-time activities in the interests of social welfare for the benefit of the general public, with particular emphasis placed on participants from varied varied ethnic backgrounds, in the Belfast area and its environments of Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic identity, religious or political beliefs or nationality: and in particular; a) to educate and assist individuals within the area of benefit through the provision of association football facilities and other recreational activities.
The charity is run by a constituted committee who meet on as needed basis to review the progress of activities. Activities are delivered by volunteers. No private benefit to committee members, members or volunteers is observed within the charity.
Activities carried out to achieve the public benefit purpose of the charity

❖ Continued use of funds awarded to the charity by the The National Lottery Community Fund, in 2022 (reserve funds), to pay for the venue hire for the delivery of all the club’ activities free of charge. These activities included;

➢ Weekly training sessions for our senior male team

➢ Weekly training sessions for our youth team (boys and girls aged 8-12 years old) ➢ 3 Community Unity Cups involving different community teams across Belfast (local community groups, youth groups and members from the ethnic minority community). 2 Female teams participated in one of the events.

➢ 1 Youth Unity Cup (10-12 years old) involving youth teams from Belfast, Claudy and Carryduff.

➢ 4 training sessions for female members from our key partner groups, involving both members from the local indigenous community and members from ethnic minority groups.

❖ Private sponsorship from The Garrick Bar, The Great Job Logistics Ltd, DC Joinery and GC Embroidery which allowed the club to pay for the registration fees to enter our senior male team into the NIFF (Northern Ireland Futsal Federation) senior male league, purchase of new kit for the team, embroidery and print of tops and shorts. The sponsorship received was also used towards some of the costs relating to the pre-season preparation of the team.
Main achievements during the year

❖ Full completion of activities planned and fullfilment of all the club/charity’s commitments

❖ Successful promotion of the charity’s activities over social media (facebook and instagram) and greater visibility of the organisation, some of its members, key partners, sponsors and the sport of Futsal.

❖ 2nd position achieved by the Men’s team in the NIFF Male senior male league (season 2023-2024)

❖ Male’s team winning the NIFF National plate
The trustees have read the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance, and have had regard to this when running the charity.
A review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the year:
In the financial year April 2023 to March 2024, the Charity had an income of £1,917 and an expenditure of £5,570. It is noted however that the charity’s opening balance, as of April 2023, was £6,792 (as noted in the charity’s accounts), covers the charity’s Deficit of £3,653 for the financial period covered in this report.
