Grassroots Mountainbikers
AGM Report for year ended 31[st] December 2023
1. Introduction
2023 has been a busy year, we have established ourselves as the umbrella organisation for mountain bikers across Northern Ireland.
- Affiliation with the International Mountainbiking Association Europe (IMBA) We have affiliated to the International Mountain Bike Association of Europe.
3. Update on progress to date with Davagh trails
- ‘Davagh Trails’ are still a work in progress and we are lobbying hard to Mid Ulster Council to resolve their differences with the contractor. There was agreement that any publicity about the trails should be as low key as possible so as not to attract additional riders from outside the area. We are agreed that Grassroots has come this far and approval was forthcoming to continue to see the project through.
4. Communications
We continue to have a strong and robust social media presence with the Facebook Club page and Twitter page both getting good feedback.
