Invin in the D.U.P. Offi Richill to continue our fight to save the play park in Broomhill. So far we have managed to keep the park but no upgrade has been made and no promises to upgrade in the future. In March/April we had meetings to organise a celebration party in honourof our Queen's Golden Jubilee, a date was setfor 6Th May with food, children's entertainer, fa painting, music and a bouncy castle. We a150 wanted to provide snack boxes forthe elderly/disabled in the community who could not attend. It was a beautiful day with a fantastictum out, everyone had a great time and we received very appreciative feed backfrom the community not On forthe party but also the snack boxes. Halloween Pa We held meetings early Novemberto organise food, entertainment, music et Una made up flyers and poster5, which we dtstributed throughoutthe estate and held our party in the hall on Tuesday 31st October. Again a hugely sucsSful event. Christmas Pa . We held meetings Immediate after Halloween to organise fund raising. We sold th raffle tickets to fund the event held on 16 December. We had party games, food music, arts and crafts table and a visit fromsanta who gave all the children a Erft. Festwe snack boxes were given to all in the community unable to attend. Again huge successful. Easter We decided against a party, mainly due to funding, but all the children did receive an egg from the Easter Bunny thanks to Paulo and his little helper. In conclusion a verybusysuccessfulyear, hopefullynextyearwe will see movement concerning our park.
