**Purposes:** (i)	To advance health and well-being, in particular the mental and physical health of pregnant women by, but not exclusively, the provision of physical, emotional and practical support during pregnancy and childbirth;  (ii)	To advance health and well-being, in particular the mental and physical health of parents and their children during the post-natal period by, but not exclusively, reducing loneliness and isolation by connecting women and parents with each other in networks and support groups; and   (iii)	To advance the education of the public including women, parents and healthcare professionals in childbirth and parenthood by, but not exclusively, the provision of accurate, evidence-based information to enable women and parents to make informed choices in relation to pregnancy, birth, parenting and feeding.
