## **TRUSTEE ANNUAL REPORT ENDING SEPT 2023**

Church continue to meet every Sunday morning in Tullycarnet Community Centre at 11am. Our services are open to everyone to attend. Afterwards everyone is encouraged to meet over refreshments. During this service we have 2 other groups meeting . One for preschool children up to age 11, where the children are taught the gospel and also have access to food and soft drinks. The other group is young people aged 11 upwards, encouraging and promoting discussion on health and well being and bible principles over hot chocolate and food. These groups are attended by members of the community as well as church attendees.

A yearly weekly summer scheme and annual Christmas outing is also provided. The summer scheme has been attended to full capacity each year by children from the local community.

Outreach into the community is important to us and we provide the following services on a weekly basis:-

Hub and grub.......a weekly 2 hour provision of hot food, sandwiches tea and coffee as well as a warm space for people to meet and enjoy company. This is well attended by old age pensioners as well as young mothers with children. Support is offered to anyone who is seen to be struggling both mentally and financially.

A Grief share program also on a weekly basis, again attended to full capacity offering comfort and help to those suffering bereavement. Feedback has been well received and is seen as a great need in the community we serve..

We have men’s and women’s groups meeting monthly for various activities. This is open to all and people are encouraged to bring friends and family for fellowship.

Also Life groups, of which there are 4 at the moment. These groups encourage and promote a sense of support and prayer within a smaller group setting. Although groups are encouraged to meet at leaders homes one of the groups is available at the community centre, again to be available to members of the community.

A choir has recently been established with a vision for future inclusion of members of the community to encourage a way of increasing good mental health and a sense of belonging.

At Christmas especially our desire is to help anyone struggling financially and where a need is identified we provide in the form of gift vouchers, food vouchers and top ups for gas and electricity.

We also provide financial support monthly to missions both overseas (in Cambodia and the Philippines ) as well as Ireland.

We have a constant accumulated amount at present in a second account which is our building fund. This amount is set aside for the purpose of acquiring a church building when and if an opportunity becomes available. Our desire as a church is that this will be within or as close as possible to the community we have come to know and love in the Tullycarnet area. At the moment we rent rooms both in the community centre and the Hanwood Centre.
