The Director’s present their report and financial statements for the period ending 31 / 12 / 23 

## **Principal activity** 

The principal activity of the company is to provide welfare and charitable services. LifehubNI provides fresh food to people in need by collecting surplus food from retailers and distributing this to individuals and families in need. We also provide opportunities for people who are isolated or suffering from deprivation to benefit from contact with others and establish relationships

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee September 2022. The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association. 

## **Board of Trustees** 

The management committee are also the charity trustees for the purposes of charity law. All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the charity. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community in Northern Ireland and in particular to support projects, activities, events and enterprises that support and help individuals, families and communities affected by food poverty, deprivation, isolation, or health and/or wellbeing issues and also promote awareness of, and address issues related to, poverty, deprivation, health and/or wellbeing in Northern Ireland. 

Over the past 12 months, the Charity had 2887 representatives collect food. This represents 5501 adults and 7199 children plus +350 people per week (through Lifehub NI supporting other Charities and community organisations). 

Our financial performance has been sound.
