The Trustees present their Report and Accounts for year ending 5 April 2024

Objects and ac�vi�es of Charity

The Church acknowledges the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ over his Church and exists to glorify the triune God by maintaining and promo�ng His worship both individually and corporately. Its members devote themselves to the teachings of Scripture, to fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism. They commit, with the help of God, to witness to the saving and sustaining power of the Lord Jesus Christ and to work for the extension of His Kingdom.

The principal charitable object of the Church is the advancement of the Chris�an faith according to the teachings of Scripture, the Doctrinal Statement and Bap�st principles.

The trustees have given careful considera�on to guidance issued by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland’s statutory guidance on Public benefit to ensure that the ac�vi�es have helped to achieve the charity’s purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.

The main ac�vi�es undertaken in rela�on to those purposes during the year.

The Church con�nues to meet the public benefit requirement by providing to its members and the public by making known the Chris�an gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and the advancement of the Chris�an faith.

Adults

Sunday Services con�nue to be well a�ended with many visi�ng speakers from other Chris�an charitable organisa�ons.

The mid-week prayer mee�ng has provided a number of bible studies, as well as a forum to bring prayers requests and give thanks.

A new men’s monthly ministry mee�ng has started this year, providing opportunity for fellowship, bible study and prayer which has been very encouraging.

Youth

The Youth group con�nue to meet weekly for Bible study and ac�vi�es with some ou�ngs.

Kids

In the Summer of 2023, from 14-18 August, a Holiday Bible Club was held. It was wella�ended by children not only from the Church but the wider community with numbers in the for�es.

The Autumn programme commenced on 21 September 2023 with approximately 55 children signed up at the beginning of term and averaging the early for�es at the la�er part of the year.

Community

Again this year a Christmas Carol service was organised with many visitors from the local community a�ending.

Some of the members also organised a mission trip to an Orphanage in Bangalore which was con�nues to be in great need of support.

The Church con�nued to support mission partners: Child Evangelism Fellowship; Rabboni Mercy Trust, Opera�on Mobilisa�on, Open Doors and Asialink both financially and prayerfully.

Financial Review

The church received income of £54,645 and incurred expenditure of £47,857 giving a net surplus for the year of £6,787 (all to 5 April 2024).

Unrestricted reserves at 5 April 2024 amounted to £64,605 across 4 accounts compared to £57,818 across 3 accounts in the previous year.

There were no restricted reserves.
