and athievements in the
year
These are the main activttie5 undertaken by thi5 charity to further
its charitable purpDSes for the public benefi( of its beneficiaries:
Active SeL1ions: Beavers {Age 6-8) and Cub5 (Age 8 to 10.51.
Section meetings take place on a weekly basis during term time
on Thursday evenings,. Beavers 6pm to 6.45pm and Cubs 7pm to
8pm. All activities follow a strurtured programme of age related
games and actiwties to meet our charitable purpose. Tr* group
has had a successful year with a late Summer Camp taking place
at the stsrt of September. To better facilitate this we soLd
some of our Larger. more compiscaled tenL)ge which auowed us
to purchase some smaller terrts that younger membef5 could
erect with minimal adult help. This. combined wtth an overnight
Stay at G05ford Forest Park. gave all children an opportunity to
demonstrate independence. leadership. teamworl ba(*woods
cooking skius and mental resilienc

In Octobef ￿ were tD raise some extra funds by seuiry
donated items at a local uaft lair. ¥**hich also u5 ra15e the
profile of the woup.
BemTk" Beavers v4orked lowards a￿1 completed Our
Adventure Challeng< Sp￿¢ Creative Builder. Swrt& Gardenlrvj
and Teamwork Challer¥Je badges. At the 5LIrt DI the year we
had a great trip to Armagh Planetarium It wa5 a great day out
and we all thoroughly eryoyed IL Tr*e were lots of
demonstrations aThY 5￿w5 and we werE able to complete our
Space badgo In February we hosted the Guide Dogs for the
Bts'nd. We held our annual sports evening which FS a joint session
with our Cubs arml is a favourite lor the children. The competition
for 1st Beaver and 1st Cub 15 always very higtrLI
This year all our meetings have taken pla￿ in SL Pauls Churth
Hèll. The church kindly donated money for our vegetable and
wildflower patch. We were able to extend our patch aThJ are
growing. Pe￿ p)tatoe% runnef bean& Carro￿ radishes
wildflowers and sunflowers.
Cub&" We started this Scouting year with an overnight camp in
Gosford Foresi Park at the beginning of September where m05t
members compieled Ihe day ￿tIvItieS and 5 camped overnight
During the year our Cubs have compLeted the fDILowing
badgeworL Astronomer. Di5atxbty Awareness. Global155ues
Sta9e l Musicians Teamwork Challenge and Our Skius
Challenge. We were vigted by Guide Dogs Nl and vée will finish
this term with a visit to Lurgaboy Athity Centre The Scout
Group vlere also gifted an area of garden Irom St Paul's Churth
in the grouThls of the churth hall w*￿e we are pianniT¥J to build
a fire pit area and grow some fmit and vegetable& erKJ of
this year we are on track to present our first Chief knut
Silver awards to 2 of the Cubs who are due to leave u5.
