Traln 28 Smart Ltd was reglstered as a charity by the Charity Cornmission of Northem Ireland in
December 2022.
Three trustees were appointed lo rnanage the Foundation and fulfil the roles of chalrperscn. secretary,
and treasurer.
In accordance wfth the Constitution the trustees must retire at the AGM and being eligible, offer
themselves for re-election.

The objects of Train 28 Smart Ltd are to carry on charftable acmles whlch benefit the C¢)mmunity Sn
Northern Ireland and in particular (without limitation) to support projects, actNittes, events arKI
enterprises related to sport and fithess that support and help Individuals, families and communities
affected by phystcal and mental health and wellbeing issues and also promole awareness of, and
address Issues related to, physical and mental health and wellbeing in Northem Ireland, insofar as18
is charitsble.
Achlevoments and perfornianc•
During year 2&25, Train 2B Smart ITfBS) continued lo provide mental health and wellbeing support
to the local and wider community through sport and acbvity, wrth the S steps to wellbeing at the heart
of the charity ethos. Alongside the charity drop- in sessions for age6 5-6 years held In our safe shared
space at Centrepoln( Lurgan( led through former Tottenham Hotspur and Northam I￿land
Intematlonal, Gerard Mcmahon), we al80 fielded affiliated teams from ages 7 through to 18 years and
contlnued our emphasis on enjoyment and play within our affiliated small slded games tearns (ages 8 -
10), development at the under 11- 12 level and competitive teams playing wlthln the Ulster Youth
League at under 13 and above. We encouraged our coaches and commlttee members to take part in
various CPD events, with 20+ Volunteer coaches completing Chlld Protectlon courses. Project
Co-ordSnator, Pat McGibbon continued to p￿sent at mental health worf(shops and Public Events
throughout the year within schools, colleges, universltles, partner Foundations and workplaces,
speaking to students at schools at a local level {e.g. Tullygally Primary School and Llsmore
Comprehensfve) and both a reglonal and natlonal level induding The Manchester United Foundatlon
and Football Assoclatlon of Ireland, FAI). He also presented mental health workshops for ch51dren
and young people at YMCA Portadown and St Marys Youth Club, Portadown and within work
organisations in the local area {e.g. Smurfit and Tayto). emphasising our Charity "Its smart 2 talk
message" and providing children, adolescent arKI adults wlth the opportunlty of per80nal and
professional development with the emphasis of GROW model leaming (GOAL REALI
OPPORTUNITY WAY FORWARD). In line with our strategic plan to gn)w Our charity "Its smart 2 tal￿,
message, we promoled this on various playing shirts within kxal senior football In the Mid-ulster
League, with Goodyear FC and Ballyoran FC sporting the key mental health message. Traln 28 Smart
continued to to provide for our service level users at our leased facility in Centrepoint, Lurgan, Sports
which included rugby, gaelic, hurfing, soccer, athletics and archery were provided for in a safe shared
place for all those involved, wth books and literature relating to mental health and wellbelng also
provided to our 8eNlce level users in a safe shared space.

Andrew5 (Tullygally PS Pdncipal) was elecled onto ihe Train 2B Smart Committoo lo further
strengthen links wilh Tullygally. We conlinuod to liaise regularly to build Partne￿hrps which could
ov8rsee development of part of the Tullygally PS sile into a multi-purpos& facility wilh a nature
walkinglnjnning trail as pari of a vlslon lor chlldrenlyoung people and the lo￿1 community In line with
the 5 steps lo Wellbeing. During the 2024-25 Year, The Twstees and committee continued lo oversee
planning. preparation and delivery of a Playing pitch for school and community use al the Tullygally
Primary S¢hcpoI Sile {5hort- medium lemi. 1 -3 years). with a health and wellbeing trail being provided
on this sile in tho medium- long lemi (3-5 yeats).

During the financial year the charity had a surplus of £8,558. (2024: £(18.654)).
Al the end of Ihe financial year the charrty had assets of £82.004 (2024=£70.446) and liablltties of
£5,350 (2024:£2.350).

Where Investments in shares are publicly traded or their fair value can otherwise be measured
reliably, the investment is subsequently measured at fair value with changes in fair value
recognised in income and expenditure. All other such investments are subsequently measured at
