The Association is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the East End area and its environs of Newtownards and to promote the protection and preservation of health within the area of benefit by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities of interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular; (a) The provision of programmes in order to advance education and to promote the benefit of the beneficiaries, and in particular to youth age 6-18, parents, toddlers, senior citizens and those with disabilities; (b) to maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the Association
