We operate a '%valk-in" food bank where anyone can come and collect an emergencyfood
parcel containing at least 3 days, Worth of food/ household items. We can also take referrals
from community members and are working with St Vincent de Paul. and often end up delivering
food to those in need who have no wayto get to our premises.
In setting our objectives and planning our activities forthe yearthe trustees have given careful
consideration to the Charty Commission Nl's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the
activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide 8 benefitto the
beneficiaries.
Volunteers purchase food and household items to keep the foodbank stocked and
make up parcels.
We operate a walk in food bank where 8nyone can come and collect an emergencyfood
parcel containing household and food items.
We also take referrals from the community and workwith St Vincent de Paul.
We will deliverfood to those who cannot make theirwayto the foodbank.
During the year we received donations totalling 24.890.20 and received a refund from
Homebase totalling £3.50. Our income forthe year totaLled £5.308.98 and is made of
unrestricted funds. We made payments in totalto the v81ue of £5.773.98 leaving us with a bank
balance atthe year-end of £7.231.68.

Independent Examiners Report
I have carried out an independent examination of the accounts of the Storehouse Trust
forthe year ended 10 October 2023.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the Charities Act (Nl) 2008.
It is my responsibiLityto:
examine the account8 under section 65 of the Charities Act
to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of Independent Examlner's statement
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act
and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by
the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act.
The examination included a review of the accounting records kept bythe charity and 8
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking
explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
As the Independent Examiner my role is to state whether any material matters have
come to my attention giving cause to believe
That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the
Charities Act
That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the
Charities Act
That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the
