## **Ballylifford Primary School Friends of Ballylifford (FOB) Registered Charity No. NIC108860**

## **Trustees Report 2023/2024**

Welcome to Friends of Ballylifford AGM for the year 2023/2024 year and thank you all for your attendance this evening.

The PTA plays an important role in supporting Ballylifford Primary School with fundraising for our children!

## **Structure, Governance and Management**

We are registered as a charity with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland – NIC108860, registration date 18th July 2022.

Our governing Document is the constitution, which was adopted on 20[th] October 2021.

Friend of Ballylifford is run by a committee elected each year at the Annual General Meeting(AGM). The AGM is the only formal meeting of the year for the PTA and deals with the formalities of the elections, financial review and future planning.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the 2023/2024 serving committee. Through their hard work, dedication and commitment to the PTA, we have continued to work towards our goals in supporting the school and enriching the education of our children.

## **Objective and Activities**

The PTAs purpose is to raise funds for Ballylifford to financially assist with purchasing items to benefit the children that the school would otherwise not be able to afford in their budget.

This is largely done by applying for grants/awards and by organising social events for the children and their families with a feeling of a fun, welcoming school community.

And what a fundraising year it has been! £12,873.82 has been raised for the school. Which Fiona McCusker will elaborate on next, in the Treasurer’s Report.

We are indebted to many people for their help during the year. In particular special thanks goes to Mrs Conway, principal at Ballylifford, and all the teachers and staff who help with events.

We also wish to thank the parents and friends of Ballylifford Primary School for their support and generosity.

I thank you all again for your hard work and support and a big welcome any new committee members for 2024/2025.

Signed on behalf of the trustees:

Mrs Brenda McIvor Chairperson
