Mourne Community First Responders is currently a Constituted Charity. IAII relevant
documents have been lodged with the Charities Commission Nl
Objectives and Activities
l. To attend local emergency calls to patients within the defined call out criteria as set by
the Nl Ambulance Service while an ambulance is on route the scene.
2. To provide emergency care for patient5 until the ambulance arrives. Community first
responders must be prepared to stand back once more highly qualified help arrives e.g.
ambulance crew or GP.
3. To use an automated external defibrillator {AEDI and perform CPR as per the guide lines
of the Nl Ambulance Service.

4. To provide a concise verbal hand-over to the ambulance crew on their arrival. Where time
and patient condition permit to start completing a community first responder incident
report form at the scene.
5. Complete paperwork as appropriate e.g. Incident summary sheet, cardiac arrest data
collection form.
6. All volunteers will be required to attend an initial mandatory training course supported by
the ambulance service. Volunteers will be required to be competent in their practical and
theory assessment on completion of the course.
7. Volunteers must attend on-going local training and be assessed as competent at each
assessment to continue to volunteer as a community first responder.
Income period ending 31 August 2024
All income received by Mourne Community First Responders in the period under review was
generated from fund raising events and community contributions.
Achievements and Performance
Mourne Community First Responders have worked to improve emergency call outcomes in
the Mourne Area.
Mourne Community First Responders currently have 29 volunteers trained and equipped for
emergency call outs, an increase of 7 on 2024.
Since going live in March 2022 Mourne Community First Responders have attended in
excess of 361 call outs as at the end of August 2024. We attended a total of 111 calls in
2024.
Financial Review
Gr055 income in the period under review was £27202.
Running Costs were £11522.
Mourne Community First Responders had net surplus in the year under review of £15680.
No money was spent on the purchase of specialised equipment, specifically AED'S.
The bank balance as at the 31 August 2024 was £81612.
