ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The PTA AGM was held on 5th October 2023.

On the retirement of Committee members, the following Committee members were elected:

EVENTS

Coronation Fun Day

A grant of £1300 was received from Drumahoe Community Association which contributed towards a fun day for the pupils of the school to commemorate the coronation of King Charles. All of the children in the school were provided with a small gift as a memory of this event. This money was also used to provide catering for parents and pupils. This generated a lot of excitement amongst the pupils and was a great event for the entire school community.

Festive Evening

The annual event of the of the Festive Evening, held on 6[th] December 2023, continues to be a popular date on the PTA school calendar. This event was well supported by pupils, their families, extended families and also some members of the local community. We invited members of our crafting community to set up stalls in the assembly hall, Kidz Farm was thoroughly enjoyed by the children in attendance and most importantly, Santa came to visit and the children got to have their photograph taken with him. Another very successful community event.

School Pantomime

Some of the funds in the PTA account were used to help pay for ‘M &M Productions’ to come to the school to perform Snow White for the children on 25[th] January 2024. This is a great way for the children to experience a pantomime in school and all the children really enjoyed the performance. This was a great way to treat the children for all the hard work put into Christmas productions.

CONCLUSION

This year continued to help rejuvenate the PTA, after the challenges of the COVID years. This gave parents some fresh insight to the benefits of having an active PTA at the school and hopefully encourage the growth of future events within the school.

The PTA is as always very grateful to the parents and guardians, teachers, and all those who have contributed, for their support throughout the year.
