Structure, Governance, and Management Governing Document: The FOB operates under a constitution adopted on 15 October 2018. All parents/guardians of pupils at the school automatically become members of the Association. Trustees are appointed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or by the committee at monthly meetings. Appointment of Trustees: The most recent AGM was held on 22. October 2024, position5 were elected as referenced above. th 3. Objectives and Activities Charitable Objectives: The purpose of the association (the purposes) is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by.. Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school. Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. Main Activities: The organisation carries out its purpose by raising funds which are designated to support and extend the education provision to the pupils of Bloomfield Collegiate School. These funds are currently raised through a range of community/ school-based initiatives such as used uniform sales, hamper raffles, tuck shops at school, Christmas Fair and school quiz nights. 4. Activities and Achievements Summary of Activities: Throughout the year, the FOB has undertaken various initiatives and events to raise funds and support the school. Weekly Tuck Shop Used Uniform sales Textile recycling Summary of Achievements: Monies raised from these events allowed us to purchase several interactive screens and Tvs for the school. We were also able to buy items such as heat packs for the Period Dignity project and decorating supplies to upgrade Learning Support, School Library, classrooms and breakout zones. 5. Financial Review Financial Position: For the financial year 23/24, the FOB ended with an accumulated surplus of £1,778. A total of £8,779 was raised, reflecting successful fundraising activities. Key financial highlights include: Tuck Shop: Raised £6,713 Christmas Raffle: Raised £1,652 6. Plans for Future Periods Future Plans 24/25: The focus for the next financial year is to raise the profile of the FOB, and increase the membership number5. We aim to reconstitute a new the Board of Trustees and move from the CLsrrent 'inhouse' financial record keeping to having ownership of an external bank account. Our plans also include raising more funds. This will initial ly start by increasing the number of tuck shop days from one to two, then flowing discussion with the FOB members increasing the number and variety of fundraising events for pupils. We feel it is important to widen our remit and establish a community parents, to do this we will be running events just for parents e.g.(gin tasting). 7.
