Friends of Tannaghmore Trustee Annual Report Charity Number 108827 Period 07/10/2022 - 06/10/2023
Friends of Tannaghmore is a charity that is run by a committee of parents with children at Tannaghmore Primary School, including trustees. All trustees and volunteers give their time freely and no remuneration or other benefits are received. The committee works in very close connection with school and staff. Overall, we are a fundraising organisation but an important part of our role is also strengthening and encouraging the home/school relationship, where teachers and parents work together to support and enhance the education of our children.
During the above relevant period, a £300 donation was made to the schools Nurture class, to provide a variety of sensory equipment and toys for the benefit of pupils. Our Nurture class sits within the mainstream school, targeted at children with increased social, emotional or behavioural needs. Staffed by one teacher and one assistant, it links in with the curriculum being covered in other classes but is delivered at a different pace and approach.
No fundraising activities took place during this period, however this group has taken a more proactive approach to fundraising and engagement since this period and continue to work for the benefit of the entire school community.
Friends of Tannaghmore would like to express their thanks to all members of the group, all school staff and all parents who continue to contribute and support their fundraising attempts. It is very much appreciated.
The trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public benefit requirement statutory guidance. The charity was registered on 20/05/2022. Its governing document is the Friends of Tannaghmore Constitution.
