To further these purpose8 for the publlc beneflt, we carrled out the followlng actlvltle8: The purpose of the Parent Support Group Is to enrich our children's school experience. We do this by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the educatlon of all our pupils. We also try and develop effective relationships between staff. parents and other associated with the school. This school year 2022123 was another excellent year for us and achieving these objectsves. This year we have successfully applled for following grants:
SportNI Project Reboot: Crowdfunder and Sport Northern Ireland teamed up to make £400,000 of National Lottery Fundlng available to support the sports sector through the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Its goal was to help clubs and community groups Build Back Better! This was a match-funding initiative. St Peter'8 PS Parent Support Group created a campaign Collegeland Gets Actlve and successfully applled for thls funding from SportNI. An amazing £8.680.96 was raised. The funding was spent Introducing new extra-currlcular sports that the school currently didn't offer through a fully funded 8 week Afterschool's Programme. We funded specialist coaches to deliver fun. engaglng physlcal activity and sport sessions. Our aim was to introduce new sports that would increase partlcipatlon rates, re-engage pupils. develop a knowledge and understanding of the Importance of a healthy Ilfestyle and importantly Improve mental health through physlcal actlvity. Over £5.000 of thls fundlng was also spenton much needed new sports equipment for the school. TAK£500+ Communlty Campalgn: The PTA again successfully applied for a £1,000 grant for our project Collegeland in Bloom. The alm was to put forward an idea that would have a positive impact on our area. We were then Invited to showcase our project at the Armagh Clty Hotel in the hope that members of the public would vote, and we would receive the funding. We were delighted to receive enough votes to secure the fundlng and bring our project to light. On the 24th May our puplls had the opportunlty to learn from an experienced gardener whlle creating planters, pots and wlndow boxes which were dlsplayed wlthln our local community at Nursing Homes, Schools, Places of Worship and the Football Grounds. Cfrop Communlty Fund: This year the PTA is part of the Co-op Communlty Fund. Co-op supports and funds projects that benefits the local community. We are partof a funding cycle which lasts for 12 months. The more members that shop with Co-op and Ghoose to supportyour project, the more funding you will receive. Our project is to buy resources and equipmentto further enhance the outdoor spaces at school and support the delivery of hlgh quallty creative and innovative outdoor play and learning experiences. The cycle wlll come to an end November 23 atwhlch time we will receive the funding. Ea8yfundra81ng: Thi8 year we also registered with ea8yfundra181ng.org. Easyfundraising partners with over 7,000 brands who will donate part of what you spend online shopping to a cause of your cholce. Over £800 was raised during the 22123 school year with 44 supporters.
Break the Rules Dayl An amazing £613 was raised. Some of the hlghllghts of th18 year have also Included: Funding and organising A Winter Wonderland with a selection box treat for each pupil at Christmas. Our Primary 7 puplls receiving their PTA funded Leavers Jerseys Refreshments for First Holy Communion and Confirmation celebrations including the plzza parties.
