The Trustees present their annual report together with the fin3ncièl statements of the
company for the period 1st Juty 2024 to 30th June 2025.
The finanaal statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set
out in note I to the financial statements and compty with the company's govefning
document, the Companies Act 2006 and 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of
Recommended Practices applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with
the Finantial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" las
amended for accounting periods commencing from l January 20191

Commission for Northern Ireland. was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in
Northern Ireland, registration number N1689092.
Maln act¢vities
West Wellbeing aims to improve mental health and wellbeing by providing free,
accessible counselling services to those who need them m05t. The charity focuses on
supporting individuals who may face financial. social. or personal barrier5 to accessinB
traditional mental health 5UPPOrt.
Our core objettive is to ensu￿ that everyone has access to a safe. tDnfidential space
where they can speak openty and receive professional guidance. We aim to reduce
stigma around mental health, promote early intervention. and support indlviduals In
bijilding resilience and improving overall wellbeing.
To achieve these aims, West Wellbeing delivers free counselling sessions. alongside
advocacy and outreach services within the community. We work collaboratively with
local organisations to extend our reach and ensure support is available to those who
might otherwise go withouL
Main achievements
During the year, the charity continued to deltver essential mentsl health support within
the community.
•467 clients availed of free counselling services. recemng professional support in
a safe and confidential environment.
•245 individuals were supported through advocacy and outreach services.
•We strengthened community links by buildlng partnerships with or8ani5ations
including Footprints Women Centre, lonnad Na Fuiseo8e Irish Centre, and
Foodstock Charity.
•We created and delivered.out ofthe Darkness: A Walkof Hope". a community
event aimed at raising awareness and promoting merstsl wellbeing.

Structure, Govemance and Management
The charity is governed by its Board of Trustees. who are responsible for strategic
dlrection and overslght. Trustees meet regularly to review performance, ensure
compliance. and Euide the development of services.
Plans for the Future
The Trustees aim to build on the progress made during the year by:

•Expanding outreach and advocacy work
•Strengthening partnerships wlthln the community
•DevelopinE further awareness and fundrdi5ing initiatives
Going Concern
After making appropraite enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the
company has adequate resources to continue in operatKJnal existence for the foreseeable
future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the
financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going concern basi5 can be
found in the Accounting Policies.
Financial Review
The charity's income 15 prirnarily derived from donations, grants, and fLsndraising
activities. All f unds received during the year were applied in furtherance of the charitvs
objective5, With the majortty direrted towards the provision of tounselling and support
seTvI￿s.
The Trustee5 are satisfied that the charity remains in 3 stable finanaal position and is
able to continue deliverin8 tts services.
The results for the period ended 30 June 2025 are set out on pages 7 and 8 of the financial
statements.
The total income for the period ended 30 June 2025 amounted to £188,394. The total
expenditure was £177,514.
The Trustees consider that the unrestricted funds of the charlty 15 Sufficient and adequate to
fulfil their obligations. The charity held E16,430 in reserves at the year end.

current level of reserves at the present time. The Trustees are reviewing the Reserves Policy
in the current year,

purposes of company lawl are responsible for preparlng the Tru5tee5' report and the
financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting

Northern Ireland. The registered office 15: West Wellbeing Suicide Prevention Servites, Unit 9a
Stewartstown Road. Dunmurry, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT17 QAW.
1.1 A¢countlng convention
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document, the
Companies Act 2(KJ6 and "Accounting and Reportin8 by Charities.. Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reportin8 Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" las amended for
accounting periods commencing from l January 20191. The charity is a Public 8eneflt Entity as
defined by FRS 102.
The charity has taken advantage of the pro￿510n5 in the SORP for tharities applying FRS 102
Update Bulletin I not to prepare a Statement of Cash Flows.
The finandal statements are prepared in sterlin& which is the functional currency of the charity.
Monetary amounts in these financial statements are roLAnded to the nearest £.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to
include the revaluation of freehold properties and to include investment properties and certain
financial instrument5 at fair value. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Golng concern
At the time of approving the financial statements. the trustees have a reasonable expectation
that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existenc@ for the foreseeable
fvture. Thus the trustees continue to adopt the goin8 concem basis of accounting in preparing
the financial statements.
1.3 Chavitsble funds
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the disuetion of the trustees in furtherance of thelr
charitable objectives unless the funds have been designated for other purposes.
Re5trirted funds are subject to 5pecifK conditions by donors as to how they may be used,

Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised an￿ the charlty has
been notified of the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount.
Income tax recoverable in relation to donatioris received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is
recognised at ihe time of the donation.
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents
amounts receivable for goods and services provided in the normal course of buslness. net of
discounts, VAT and other sales related taxes.
1.5 Resourc05 expended
Liabilities are reco8nised a5 expenditure a5 soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the charity to that expenditure. it is probable that a transfer of economic benefrts will
be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under heading5 that
aggregate all cost related to the category.
The charity is below the charity audit threshold and therefore is eyempt from reporting
expenditure on an activity basis. The charity has Opted to report by the nature of expenditure
rather than on an activity basis.

Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or
valuation, net of depreciatlon and any impaim)ent losses.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the c05t or valuation of assets less their residual
values over their useful lives on the followin8 bases:

Cosh and cash equivalents include cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks, other short-term

1.8 Hnandal instruments
The charity has elected to apply the prowsions of Section 11 '8aslc Financial Instruments, and
Sedion 12 '0ther Financial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its financlal Instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised in the charity's balan￿ sheet when the charlty becomes
party to contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabilities are offset, with the net amounts presented in the financial
statement5, when there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recogni5ed amounts and there
15 an intention to settle on a net basis or to realise the asset and settle the Ilability simultaneously.

1.9 Basic flnancial assets
Basic financial assets, which include debtors and cash and bank balances. are initially measured at
transaction price induding transaction Costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using
the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where
the transartion is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market
rate of interest. Financial assets tlassified as receivable within one year are not 3mort15ed.

Basic financial liabilities. including ueditors and bank loans are initially recognised at transaction
price unle55 the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is
measured at the present Value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interest.
Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost. using the effective interest rate
method.
Trade creditors are obligation5 to pay for goods or serNices that have been acquired in the
ordinary course of operations from suppliers. Amounts payable are da55ified a5 current liabilitles
if payment is due within one year or less. If not. they are presented as non-current liabilities.
Trade creditor5 are recognised initially at transartion price and subsequently measured at
amortised cost using the effective interest method.

Financial liabilitles are derecogni5ed when the charity's contractual obligations expire or are
discharged or cancelled.
1.12 Emphyee beneffts
The cost of any unused holiday entitlement Is recognised in the period in which the employee's
services are received.
Termination benefits are recognised immediately as an expense when the charity is
demonstrably committed to terminate the ernployment of an employee or to provide
termirbation benefits.
1.13 Crftical accounting estlmates and Judgements
In the application of the charitys accounting policies, the trustees are required to make
judgements. estimates and assumptions about the carryinB amount of assets and liabillties that
are not readily apparent from other sources. The estimates and a550ciated assumptions are
based on historical experience and other factors that are considered to be rÈlevant. Actua5 results
may differ from these estimates.
The estimates and underlyin8 assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to
accounting estimates are recognised in the period in which the estirnate is revised where the
revision affects only that period, or in the period of the revbsion and future periods where the
reVI￿On affects both current and future periods.
