The objective of St Ninnidh’s Parent Fundraising Group (PFG) is to raise money for improving the school both through increased community relations and improving buildings and resources. All parents/guardians of pupils currently attending St Ninnidh’s Primary School are members of the PFG.

St Ninnidh’s PFG sincerely thanks all parents/guardians, families, teachers, staff and the wider community who so generously gave their time, talents and good will to our events over the past academic year. The PFG wishes to express our gratitude to Mr. Kenny Kerins, Principal, who worked tirelessly throughout the year.

We are very proud of our school and the enormous efforts of those who go above and beyond in supporting PFG events for the betterment of our childrens’ educational journeys.

The PFG committee wishes to acknowledge the enormous contribution of previous committees and parents in the establishment and running of the PFG.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS BY THE PFG

Cash for clobber October 2023 raised £232.00 plus a further £112.00 in April 2024.

Movie Night 5th December raised £416.05.

Christmas Cards December 2023 including sponsorship from Ernecast and RM

Groundworks & Plant Hire raised an incredible £822.14.

Coffee Morning & Bake Sale on 11th February 2024. The event was a huge success and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed themselves!

The total raised was an amazing £1010.00.

School fete April 2024 - The tombola stand & refreshments were manned by PFG volunteers. We were very happy to be a part of such a positive community event.

July 2024 Gift aid from Lipsync event has equated to a staggering £10,170.14. A huge thanks to Kelly McCarthy for securing this.

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE PFG

The PFG was delighted to be able to contribute towards the following during the academic year 2023-2024.

Festive treats December 2023 £160.00.

In January 2024 The PFG funded a sensory space for our children to enjoy. Total cost of £1152.97.

School toys grant to the value of £269.90 was secured by the Grants Subcommittee in the academic year 2022-2023. This was used to buy traditional outdoor games for the school in April 2024.

School Tours June 2024 £600.00

In August a set of novels were purchased for our P5 class ahead of the new academic year, total £63.00.

SCHOOL GROUNDS

A huge amount of work has been going on behind the scenes during the past academic year in order to deliver our vision for the development of the school grounds. This incorporates money raised by the phenomenally successful LipSync Battle held in April 2023 and Slieve Rusheen Grant secured by the PFG Committee in 2023. The planning application for our 3G facility is currently with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, once this is complete the project will move onto the procurement stage.

Work began in April 2024 on the school front yard to remove uneven paving which was a trip and fall hazard. In addition, a series of gates and fences were installed to provide more security when people are entering or exiting the school grounds.

Enormous gratitude to Con D’Arcy, Ronan Martin and Eoin Murphy for their time and talents creating the outdoor classroom. What a beautiful space in which children can play and learn for many years to come.
