The club distributed fund and goods to the value of £6173 to local charities and youth groups. There is an emphasis on smaller local charities and groups that regularly turn to the club in times of need. All charities and groups funded by the club all use their funds in a manner consistent with the aims of Ballynahinch Lions Club.

Reading Glasses are donated through various community collection points, then refurbished and reused in developing countries, giving them a second life. During the year, we recycled 1,896 pairs of spectacles.

The club held a Jazz Afternoon in the Millbrook Hotel. We also hosted a monthly quiz night and organised our annual golf tournament. In addition, we arranged for Santa to visit a local store to meet children.

We held our annual food appeal and street collection, with the donated food presented to the local food bank.

The lions Peace Poster Competition was won by a pupil from Assumption Grammer school, and we presented awards to both the pupil and the school.

We supplied reading books to 11 local primary schools.

Ballynahinch Lions raised a total of £8,022 during the year and distributed funds and goods to the value of £6,173. The club has a policy of spending funds as they are received and holds no additional assets.

The club meet once a month on the First Tuesday at 8:00pm in the Millbrook Hotel.

A surplus of income over expenditure was achieved for the year.

At our first meeting of the year in July we set out our programme for the incoming year.

Membership at the end of the year was 12.

The club is well known and supported by the local community.
