The trustees are pleased to presen.t their report and financial statements forthe year 1 July 2023 to
30. June 2024. The financial statements have been prepa.red on a 'Receipts and Payments, basis
and the Trustees have had regard to the Nl Charity Commission's Public Benef it Guidance
Our Purpose
The aim of the charity is
The prevention or relief of poverty
The advancement of citizenship or community development
The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age,111 health, disability, financial hardship or
other disadvantage
Constitution
The charitywas formally established in 1983 and is governed by its constitution.
Main activities and Achievements
The Trustees are pleased to report another successful yearfor Ballynahinch Lions club
The club distributed £1050 to fjve charities. There is an emphasis on smaller local charities who
regularly turn to the club in times of need. The charities funded by the club all use their funds
consistent with the aims of Ballynahinch Lions Club:
Reading Glasses are donated to us through various community collection points, and are
refurbished and reused in third countries for a second Life
The club provided car parking service at the Local motorcycle club events and distributed the funds
raised to local charities. The club a.lso raised funds with It's annual golf tournament. We also
arranged for Santa to visit one of the stores and meet the children.
The Ballynaliinch Lions raised a total Of £5429 in tho year gnd spend £2074. Thc cLub has a policy of
spendingfunds as received and has no other assets,
The club meet once every mont.h on the 1st Tuesday at 8'00pm In the Millbrook Hotel.
A surplus of income over expenditure was achieved for the year.
At our tirst meeting of the year in July we set out our programme for the incoming year

Membership at the end of the year was 8 and we have accepted new members for the incoming
The club is well known and supported by the local community
A.11 the members pay an annual subscription for the year and this goes towards the running of
the club, ie insurance and club materials.

My examin.ation was carried out in accordance with General Directions given
bythe Northem Ireland Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records: It also includes consideration of any unusal
items or disclosures in the accounts: and seeking explanations from you as
trustees Con￿rning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the eviden￿ that would be required in an audit,and consequently
the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.-
