Objectives. Activities and Charitable Purposes The principal purpose of the Church is the advancetnent of the Christian Faith according to Biblical Principles contsined within the teaching of Scripture. It exlsts to glorify God by maintsining and promoting His worship both individually and corporately. and acknowledges the absolute supremacy of The Lord Jesus Christ as Head of The Church. The menl)etship of the Church seek to follow the teachlng of Scripture and Involve themselves in the governance of the assembly. the advancement of iys aims, participation in fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism. The C hurch also may seek to advan educats"on, the rellef of poverty and slckness. the comfort of the bereaved and the promotion of any other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world. Dunseverlck Bapiist Church conducts regular services for public worshlp, prayer, Bible stsJdy, preaching and teaching for all age groups, and provides pastoral care to the sick and elderly of the church through visitation and prayer. We contribute financlally to registered charltable organisations whose aitn is the relief of povety and sfrckness. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charty Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. The Tiustees are satlsfied that the Charity has achleved its objectives in the year under ieview. vuolic Benefit In fulfilling the publlc benefit requirement, the charlty trustees have had regard to the Charty Commisslon for Northem Ireland's statutory public benefit guidan. As Scrtpture Is taught. the moral code from which much of legislats'on derives Its values from is presented. A true sense of value is given to human lrfe from conception. The Biblical comtnand to love our neighbour is tsught, which is a core principle of Scriptural teaching. We believe in a holistic approach to well-being, encompassing the spiritual as well as mentsl and physical aspects of humanty. Direct benefits flowing from the organisation's pUose". Eternal salvation and a(loptlon into the family of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ The spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. bringing reconciliation both between human belngs and God and btheen human beings. The gaining of an understsnding in Christian beliefs as set out in the Bible and the Doctrinal Statement of the Church leading to spiritual and moral development and personal growth in the Christian Farth. The provision of regular Christlan education. helping people to undeistsnd. live out. defend and prorr¥)te the Christian gospel of Jesus Christ. PraCtal expressions of Christian beliefs and standards in the local communty such as through the care of those in need, assistsnce and comfort to the sick, elderly and bereaved. The development of individual ability and grft through the engagement of willing volunteers in practical and spiriiual seTViCe. - The positive impact on society that comes from the living out of a Christlan worldview. The Trustees are satisfied that the Charity has achieved its public benefft objects'ves In the year under review. This is evidenced through regular evaluation and infonnal feedback from members and those attending events. their families and the general public within the community in which the Church opeTrtes. The Trustses do not anticipate that any ham will flow from any of the above purposes. The church's beneficiaries are Church Members and adherents. and anyone who chooses to attend the church services which are open to members of the geneFal public, other individuals that the Chuich is in direct and indirect contact with, the communtty in which pastoral services are provided and other corrmuniti'es throughout Northem Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and worldwide which benefftfrom our engagementwith and support for both Chriskn'an and other secular organisations. The only private benefrts fiowing from our purposes are the provision of stipend for any pastor of the church who will also assume the role of Trustee and paid employment for the personnel required to manage the work of the Church. Such st"pend, salaries and any incurred expenses are incidental and necessary to enable the Church to provide the pastoral and admlnistrative support required to fulfil the stated Purpose. Achlevements and Performance Totsl incoming resources for the year amounted to £48.253 and after deducting totsl resources expended of £58.526 net outyoing resources amounted to £10,273. All resources received and expended are treated as unrestricted funds. At the year end, unrestrictsd funds amunted to £178,513. The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure. ststement of Trustees, Responsibilities The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Annual Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charitles in Northern Ireland requires the Trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the affairs of the charity and the incoming resources and application of the resources, including the net income (Y expendlture. of the charity for the year. In preparing the accounts the Trustees confinn that they have done so on a going concern basis.
