Trustee’s Annual Report 2024/2025
The purpose of our charity is to continue to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of concert band music, enriching the musical and cultural experience of the general public in our locality and beyond.
The main activities and achievements in the past year have been to continue to provide experiences of live music for the public and to use opportunities for recorded band performances to reach a wider audience on our Facebook page and on YouTube.
At Christmas we continued to support local carol services and church events in the community. Our charity concert in April raised over £1400 for the East Belfast Baby Bank.
We had the pleasure of helping our local community celebrate VE day at Brooklands Primary School Dundonald and once again performed at Sea Bangor. Our Bands in The Park concert in August in Conjunction with Comber Brass, performed in Comber, was a great success. The good weather also allowed us to play at an outdoor event at our band home in Moat Park on August 31[st] . During the summer we also had the privilege of playing for Caring Breaks in Finaghy.
The band has continued to attract new members and is developing the range of its repertoire. We look forward to another enjoyable year sharing our music and hopefully another trip in June 2026.
