Trustee’s Annual Report 2022/2023
The purpose of our charity is to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of concert band music, enriching the musical and cultural experience of the general public in our local area and beyond.
The main activities and achievements in the past year have been to provide experiences of live music once again for the public and to continue to use opportunities for recorded band performances to reach a wider audience on our Face book page, Radio Ulster and on YouTube. The main event of the year was a collaboration with musicians from Santa Monica High School, Los Angeles, USA in a concert to a supportive audience in the Waterfront Hall in April. This was an incredible experience for our band and a privilege to play with such talented young people.
We continue to play for events organised by our local councils such as Bangor Christmas lights and market and at local Carol Services in our community. Our charity concert in June raised over £1000 for the charity Invisible Traffik. The band has continued to attract new members and has extended its repertoire. We look forward to another enjoyable year sharing our music.
