The Charity was formed in October 2022. The Charity is governed by a constitution.

The Charity is constituted as an unincorporated association.

The Charitable purposes of charity are ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAVING LIVES

ADVANCEMENT OF CITIZENSHIP OR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT .

To further these purposes for the public benefit, we carried out the following activities:

Making bird boxes and garden furniture to benefit two of the local primary schools. Making outdoor tables for a local charity to enhance their vegetable garden and making good the ventilation of their poly tunnel.

A six-week beginner guitar lesson course was undertaken at the beginning of the year which was very well attended. A six-week cookery course followed with well attended classes and a lot of the participants learned new skills and cited a huge boost in their ability to plan and cook meals for themselves.

We worked in conjunction with the local charity Hope Dungiven, which offers children under the age of 18 different opportunities during the summer months to learn different skills and outdoor activities. We helped three different groups of young people make a park bench out of wood and these benches were then donated to three churches in the local area.

We ran a six-week intermediate guitar lesson programme as the members wished to follow up on the beginner course earlier in the year. Again, this was very well attended drawing men from Limavady and Tobermore to join the shed. This course was very successful and resulted in the group being asked to perform a concert for a group of vulnerable adults in a local church hall. The evening was a tremendous success resulting in the group being asked to perform at the end of year party for the vulnerable adults.

The main achievements of the [charity] in the year were:

The health benefits of being part of a group with similar interests and socialising with likeminded people resulting in improved social skills and mental health benefits.
