PARENT TEACHER AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION
CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT SEPTEMBER 2022 - AUGUST 2023
The start of the 2022 - 2023 school year was Un￿rtain for PTFA events.
We were unfortunately unable to hold our Annual Hallowe'en Disco and although the
Christmas Fair did not take place Santa On￿ again visited each classroom in
December and each child re￿iVed a selection box. A special thank you goes to our
"Mystery Santa"
The planned 'Night at the Races" was unfortunately cancelled due to not enough
interest in the event.
An Easter Raffle was held and was very well received.
The May Fair was very well received and those attending had a great day of fun.
Once again, this year we funded personalised pen drives for all P7 children for use
when they move to their new schools.
The PTFA funded a table tennis tsble for use by children during after school club.
Our BBQ and Quiz at the end of June was extremely well attended and both parents
and children had a great night. Cregagh Sports Club and in particular David
Mccormick are thanked for allowing us to use their facilities for the event.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to move forward with plans to improve the
P31P4 playground due to the Depathent of Education cancelling all capital
expenditure which includes any improvements which would require contractors to be
involved.
We have applied for the Tesco Community Grant fund and have been successful
subject to customer voting which runs from October 2023 to January 2024.
It is hoped that money raised from our events can be spent in the near future to
move forward with plans for the P31P4 playground and to provide some items which
the pupil Council have requested. The 202312024 committee will take forward this
planning.
The principal and staff of Harding are On￿ again sin￿relY thanked for doing all they
do for the Harding family.
Without the hard work of the PTFA Commtttee none of the above events could be
held and my sincere thanks go to each and every one ofthem.

Thanks also go to the Parents and friends of Harding - without your support and
generosity not only at the events we organize but also through Easy Fundraising, we
could not do what we do.
