The aim of this charity is.

The Trustees of Charity NIC108661, Banbridge Lions Club have had
regard to the NI Charity Commission’s Public Benefit Guidance.
The Trustees are pleased to support another successful year for
Banbridge Lions Club.
The club distributed £2,682 to five charities. There is an emphasis on
smaller local charities who regularly turn to the club in times of need. The
charities funded by the club all use their funds consistent with the aims of
Banbridge Lions Club.
Reading Glasses are donated to us through various community collection
points and are refurbished and reused in third-world countries for a
second life.
Our annual Christmas food collection is well known to the people of
Banbridge, Dromore and surrounding areas. The collection in December
2024 demonstrated the generosity of our local community by providing
enough food to fill 110 hampers and provide the surplus to several food
banks.
The club raised a total of £7,197 excluding membership dues, in the year
to 30 June 2025 and donated £2,682 to charities leaving a closing bank
balance of £6,782. The club has a policy of distributing funds as needed
by the local charities but at the same time keeping a small reserve for
any emergency requests made to Banbridge Lions Club.
The club currently has seventeen members who meet monthly to agree
the activities of the club. The club is well known and supported by the
local community.

Section D Achievements and performance

The club raised a total of £7,197 excluding membership dues, in the year to 30 June 2025 and donated £2,682 to charities leaving a closing bank balance of £6,782. These accounts are prepared on a cash basis in the form of a Receipts & Payment Account to 30 June 2025. It should be noted that of the closing cash balance of £6,782 a payment was made of £4,313 to Air Ambulance NI on 13 August 2025.

The club has a policy of distributing funds as needed by the local charities but at the same time keeping a small reserve for any emergency requests made to Banbridge Lions Club.
