3. Purpose of Charity
The Association is established:
a. To promote the benefit of the pupils, staff and parents of St Brigid’s Primary School, Altamuskin without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and physical education.
b. The advancement of the educational, moral, mental, social, physical and cultural wellbeing of the students of St Brigid’s Primary School, Altamuskin and other children of the area without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion.
c. The fostering of good relations between parents, teachers, students, Board of Governors, past pupils, Staff, Management, Past Staff, local Churches and the school authorities of St Brigid’s Primary School, Altamuskin.

6. Summary of main activities through the year:

In Summer 2024 the Donnelly family carried out a charity walk to raise funds for St Brigid’s PTA account. Later donations of £43.74 towards this fundraiser were paid to the school in September 2024.

DAERA funding of £1601.24 was received to cover approx. 85% of the purchase of 4 IPads, Covers and screen protectors to help educational needs of children and families in the community. The PTA covered the outstanding amount as agreed within the requirements of the grant (£282.57). Total project spend £1883.81.

Children and family & friends of the school community were invited to help with gardening and clear up around school;

In November 2024 the PTA purchased paint for the school community.

The PTA organised a duck race which was held in April 2025 to raise money for the school PTA account. The donations from local families and businesses were made through March & April 2025.

Continuing to help with outside play equipment, outside learning and health & wellbeing. The PTA helped fund a clean up outside the school to aid this project. The school PTA also contributed towards the labour cost of painting the school facilities which helped the appearance for the staff, children and school community.

PTA meetings and group chat were carried out where required throughout the year.

Holy Communion party - organising helpers and volunteers for food, flowers, decorating hall and servers at hall.

Bouquets were purchased for Mrs Gormley leaving, Mary Donnelly retirement, Ms McNulty Temporary Principal.

Organising Mairead & Pauline Mullin Football Tournament (Altamuskin Cup) to include local schools. Volunteers helped at event on and off pitch.

After school sport and activities arranged 1 day a week was organised by staff at the school. Donations were transferred from staff to the PTA account.

The PTA purchased t-shirts for all school children to encourage participation to the local 5k run with the aim being to help the physical development and health and wellbeing of the children.

During the year preparing bank statements and information for year end.
We appreciate grant aid throughout the year as follows:

7. Review of Financial Position at 31st August 2025
The funds of the charity remain stable.
8. Details of any fund that was in deficit at 31st August 2025
There was no deficit in the year from August 2024-August 2025.
Total in the bank increased by £5349.94 from previous year.
