The Thomas Trust - Trustees, Report 1 April 2023 - 31 March 2024 1. Summary of Activities During the year to 31 March 2024 The Thomas Trust continued its normal activity of making grants in line with its objects, as outlined in the Declaration of Trust dated 12 October 1989, in particular the advan￿ment of the Christian faith. To this end grants were made in January 2024 to Tearfund {Nl) (£2,000) and Good News for Everyone! (£1,000). The income of the Trust historically came from rental income relating to a 119th share of the property at Thomas House, 14-16 James Street South, Belfast. Following the sale of Thomas House during the year to 31 March 2023, the net proceeds We￿ invested by Investec. This investment, referred to as The Thomas Trust (Charitable) with reference number THOMA0617, is the primary asset of the Trust. During the year a transfer of £2,300 was made from the investment account to the bank account to enable the grants to be made. The investment fund performed well during the year with a closing value of £138,461. As the Trust's activities do not result in any liabilities it is not considered necessary to have a specific level of reseNes.
